Legal News Articles (Part 1)

You might want to begin your legal research by searching for articles from legal newspapers, magazines, and newsletters. Such articles are not considered scholarly, but they are useful for orienting you to a topic, finding background information, and researching current events.

Examples of legal news publications include the Business Lawyer, Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, and Legal Times. These three titles and over 300 other legal newspapers, magazines, and newsletters covering general, regional, and specialized legal topics are available in LexisNexis Academic.

You can access LexisNexis Academic on the UMUC Articles & More page. From the database menu, select L from the A to Z list.

Click on LexisNexis Academic. You may be prompted to enter your login information.
