Module 2: Finding Case Law

Searching Federal Cases by Party Name

Cases may be searched by Party Name when you know the names of the parties involved in the suit. At the LexisNexis Academic initial search screen, click on the Legal tab and on the right -hand side, Federal & State Cases.

In the box next to Case Name, enter Bush v Gore and click

This will take you right to a screen in the results list with their case.

At the top, right hand side of the screen under Next Steps  you will find icons, that you can use to print  , email , download , or export your results to RefWorks.
