Classes and Services
The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) headquarters in Adelphi, Maryland is a comprehensive education complex comprised of the Student and Faculty Services Center and the Inn and Conference Center. These buildings house the university’s administrative and student service offices, as well as classrooms and computing facilities. In addition, the Inn and Conference Center features nearly 30 meeting rooms, a hotel, a restaurant and an art gallery.
Note: UMUC's newest location, the Academic Center at Largo, will begin offering select student services in Fall 2009. For a list of student services and departments moving to the Academic Center at Largo, visit www.umuc.edu/onthemove.

Office of Enrollment Management Hours

Directions and Parking
From I-495, take Exit 25B (U.S. Route 1 South). Turn off at Route 193 West (University Boulevard). At Adelphi Road, make a U-turn onto Route 193 East to enter the UMUC parking garage. UMUC’s Student and Faculty Services Center and Inn and Conference Center are both accessible from the parking garage.
Advising
Advisors are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Call 800-888-UMUC (8682) for an advising appointment at the Student and Faculty Services Center.
Computer Labs
At the Adelphi Student and Faculty Services Center, UMUC is equipped with one open-access computing lab and several instructional labs available Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the standard semester. Library Services
UMUC’s Information and Library Services provides a wide range of resources and services, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to best meet the information needs of UMUC's students, faculty and staff.
UMUC librarians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via e-mail and chat. In addition, librarians can be reached for assistance via phone, instant messaging and in person during regularly scheduled hours at the Adelphi Student and Faculty Services Center and at McKeldin Library on weekends. Information and Library Services provides access to a rich collection of research materials on business, social science, science, arts and humanities, computer and information systems, and other topics related to UMUC's curriculum. Students can access an extensive array of subscription databases containing tens of thousands of full-text articles as well as thousands of electronic books, through the Information and Library Services home page or through WebTycho.
Currently enrolled students in the continental United States have borrowing privileges at the 16 University System of Maryland and affiliated institutions (USMAI) libraries. The library collections can be searched and books can be requested through the USMAI online catalog, available via the library home page. All UMUC students may use the DocumentExpress service to request journal articles or book chapters not available online in full text be sent to them electronically.
Note: The last day that the library public services area at the Student and Faculty Services Center in room 2255 will be open is Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Beginning January 3, 2010, the library public services area will be available in the Academic Center at Largo.
Career Services
With the support and resources of Career Services, UMUC students, alumni and employers attain their career-related needs and goals. Take advantage of career assistance during normal hours at the Career Services office, located in room 2270 of the Student and Faculty Services Center. Contact Career Services for more information.
Test Proctoring for Undergraduate Students
Cole Field House on the University of Maryland College Park campus is an approved proctoring site for undergraduate online course examinations during standard fall and spring semesters. The Inn and Conference Center at UMUC's Adelphi headquarters is an approved proctoring site for the mid-spring, summer, and mid-fall semesters. Proctored exam schedules for the Student and Faculty Services Center are available online at http://www.umuc.edu/prog/ugp/ets/ exam_schedules.html.
Note: The Student and Faculty Services Center (SFSC) Placement Test Center will be moving to the Academic Center at Largo on November 14, 2009. After this date, all placement tests will be held at the Largo location.
