*The Middle States Commission, with the approval of the institution to be visited and the team chair, may appoint one evaluation team associate to accompany an evaluation team during a visit as means of professional education. Evaluation team associates work closely with evaluation teams and have access to materials received by the team. While evaluation team associates participate in conferences, associates do not contribute directly to the team's evaluation report or to the team's recommendation regarding accreditation.
