UMUC offers military spouses and family members the affordability of a state university with the convenience of online or on-site study.

We offer spouses of active-duty military personnel our reduced military tuition rate, and you can take advantage of additional military spouse educational benefits, financial aid, scholarships, and other payment options if you are eligible.

1 UMUC's undergraduate military tuition rate is available to spouses and dependent children of: active-duty military servicemembers and members of the Selected Reserves, National Guard, and the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

2 Spouses of active-duty military servicemembers and members of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are eligible for UMUC's graduate military tuition rate. Dependent children of these student groups are available for the graduate military tuition rate if their sponsor

  • Lives in Maryland
  • Is stationed in Maryland
  • Claims Maryland as his or her state of residency
