Financial Aid Options
UMUC's Financial Aid Office is eager to assist you in finding ways to meet your college costs. We offer a variety of programs to suit your needs—from grants and scholarships (which do not require repayment) to loans (which must be repaid) and work-study programs. A number of factors determine eligibility for these programs, including financial need, undergraduate or graduate enrollment, and grade-point average.
To apply for financial aid, you must first complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the established priority deadlines: June 1 (fall semester), November 1 (spring semester), and April 1 (summer semester).
Students who withdraw or drop from a course(s) may be required to repay any financial aid received, including veterans educational benefits or military tuition assistance. It is recommended that you talk with your academic advisor prior to dropping or withdrawing from a course.
*Note: The Withdrawal/Refund Policy is different for students in the Army.
