Use this orientation to get an overview of how MyUMUC works and how you can get the most out of its powerful features and functionality.
Navigating MyUMUC
Login Page
First, log into MyUMUC at the Login page. This is your single entry point to MyUMUC. To gain access to your personalized content, you must provide your user ID and password. If you were a current faculty when MyUMUC launched in June 2005, you received an e-mail with your login and password information. All new faculty receive an e-mail following official approval of appointment. If you have not received your user ID and password, contact our Help Desk at 1-877-868-2847.
MyUMUC Banner
We have designed MyUMUC to be as easy to navigate as possible. The links at the top of the screen contain the most popular UMUC links, such as the home page for the university, access to WebTycho, and library services.

If you click any of these links, a new window will appear, giving you access to the requested page.
Just below the UMUC links, you will see MyContent and MyLayout. Use these to personalize the look of your site. Not only can you can change the view, but you can also control the content that is delivered to you.
Portal Links
Just below the personalization links are three portal links:
- Site Map shows how all the pages are organized and where to find your content.
- Feedback allows you to send us your comments and concerns about MyUMUC.
- Log Out allows you to leave MyUMUC when you are ready.
Finally, there are six tabs on the left-hand side of the Tool Bar: MyUMUC, MyToDo, MyInfo, MyAcademics, MyTools, and Help.
