What's New

UMUC 360 Support is Here!

UMUC is proud to offer UMUC 360 Support, a new online help center for student and faculty users of MyUMUC, WebTycho, and other learning applications. Now students and faculty can chat online with the helpdesk, open and submit a help ticket, request a call back, or tap into the self-help knowledge base. They may also reach a representative by phone at 888-360-UMUC (8682) or 301-985-6710.

Going forward, UMUC 360 Support will be the go-to resource for students and faculty to receive technical assistance. Staff will also use UMUC 360 Support for WebTycho and learning applications, but will continue to use their current helpdesk for all other support needs.

Session Dates

The way we reference session dates is new. Our naming convention for semesters used to be the last two digits of the year followed by the semester code. For example, fall 2006 would be 0609. Spring 2007 would be 0702.

With MyUMUC, the first digit represents the century. The middle two digits represent the current year. Finally, the last digit represents the academic term. So with the new naming convention, fall 2006 is 2068 and spring 2007 is 2072.

In addition, the terminology that we have used in the past has changed. For instance, we have new ways of referring to "semester," "register," and "application." A glossary with a complete listing of MyUMUC terminology is available.
