Leadership Workshops
Targeted, time-sensitive, low-cost leadership training conducted for organizations
Note: At least 12-24 participants from a single organization are required for each workshop.
Leadership, Personality and Interpersonal Style
Understanding your own leadership style is the foundation of any leadership development effort. This one-day workshop focuses on state-of-the-art leadership techniques, with rich discussion of a leadership model and its application to each participant’s personal leadership approach. The MBTI and the FIRO-B assessment tools will be used to explore aspects of personality and interpersonal style most appropriate in various leadership situations. Participants will recognize behaviors they need to modify, reduce or increase to become more influential.
Fee: $1,000
How Others See Me
This half-day workshop introduces participants to Benchmarks, a 360-degree assessment tool. Participants will gain an understanding of the assessment and their results during the workshop; they will then focus on developmental planning as they identify specific leadership goals. Participants will also receive a one-hour private, confidential review of their report with an NLI Executive Coach (to be scheduled after the workshop session).
Fee: $1,000
Linking Personality, Communications and Technology
This one-day workshop explores how differing personality styles tend to affect and be affected by e-communications, particularly in situations involving geographically dispersed teams. Using the Hogan assessment series to gain insight into their potential and challenges, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their leadership personalities. They will apply that knowledge to make more effective choices on how they communicate through technology. This workshop will use group activities, discussion and role modeling to give participants new insights on effectively getting their message across.

Exerting Influence Through Social Intelligence
Low morale, high stress, limited resources, uncertainty and insecurity make the job of influencing others even more difficult. Leadership, especially in challenging times, requires that managers know how to influence others, even those over whom they have no authority. Social intelligence—the capacity to understand and manage one's interpersonal and social interactions—is crucial to influencing others. In this workshop, participants receive feedback from the 360-degree tool, Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), and practice the use of various influence tactics and behaviors by engaging in experiential activities.
Fee: $1,000
Enhancing Coaching Skills
This workshop moves beyond the basics of coaching into the specific actions and behaviors managers can use to coach and develop others. In addition to practicing new skills, topics for the session will include how to prepare for, start, terminate and structure a coaching session.
Fee: $750
Diffusing Organizational Tensions
Conflict within organizations is prevalent even in the best of times. When individuals and work teams are stressed by the added demands of difficult economic or budgetary challenges, organizational tensions are even more likely to erupt. These tensions are usually brought about by differences in perspectives, values, interests or styles. This workshop will focus on how individuals and work groups respond to these differences. Participants will engage in the Conflict Development Profile (CDP), an assessment of their individual conflict behaviors and how these behaviors are demonstrated within and across groups. Through group exercises, participants will practice new, more constructive conflict-response behaviors and leave the workshop ready to apply these new approaches to their work situations.
Fee: $750
Energizing Teams in "Down" Times
This workshop is specifically designed to help managers and team leaders re-energize, refresh and motivate their teams to higher levels of performance. Through a series of experiential activities, participants will gain insights into their current situations and acquire practical tools to enhance the effectiveness, performance and morale of their organizational teams. Special problems encountered by cross-functional, diverse and geographically dispersed teams will also be addressed.
Fee: $750
Think Like a Leader
In difficult times, the difference between managing and leading becomes even more important. Leaders do not just see the "big picture," they articulate a vision that is at once challenging, inspiring and attainable. This workshop will "raise the bar" for participants, encouraging them to think like leaders—using strategic and systems thinking skills. Through individual assessments and group activities, participants will learn tools and techniques to improve their effectiveness in this key leadership competency.
