About the Faculty Media Lab

The Faculty Media Lab is dedicated to supporting the development of innovative resources for online teaching in a global academic community. The Lab supports faculty, course designers, and distance education coordinators who are interested in creating multimedia enhancements for online courses. Designed to simplify the production of audio, video, and graphic resources for the online learning environment, the Lab plays a supporting role for new course development and post-course development enhancements. As a matter of policy, the primary clientele for the Faculty Media Lab are the faculty of UMUC.

Usage by UMUC Faculty in Europe and Asia

Faculty members in Europe and Asia also benefit from the Lab. Some faculty members are using the lab at a distance, linking into the Lab via telephone and the Internet to access and create resources. To take advantage of the resources in the Faculty Media Lab, Europe and Asian Division faculty will need to coordinate their efforts with distance education coordinators and course designers in Adelphi, or work directly with the CVU staff to develop materials.

Location: SFSC 1226, Adelphi campus
