tutorial with a scored post-test
Description: An interactive tutorial that describes eight basic guidelines for avoiding plagiarism, provides examples of correctly and incorrectly cited materials, and concludes with a post-test. Students who score 100% on the post-test receive a certificate that they can hand to their instructor. Students who score less than 100% receive a list of remedial topics to review. Two versions of the tutorial are provided: an HTML version and a Macromedia Flash version.
Client: UMUC Online Writing Center
Services provided: The CVU recommended an approach for converting a draft instructional module into an interactive online format. It created a Web site design, edited the text, and added several examples to clarify the concepts discussed in the module. It also coordinated production, including Web site development (graphics and programming) and quality control and testing.
