Orkand Chair Distinguished Lecture Series

The Orkand Chair Distinguished Lecture Series is sponsored by University of Maryland University College (UMUC) to promote research and scholarship at UMUC. The series features internationally acclaimed speakers in the fields of management, technology or education who discuss trends and advancements in these areas.

Hosted at UMUC in Maryland once each spring and fall, the series is open to the UMUC community and general public.

Fall 2010 Orkand Chair Distinguished Lecture Series

On December 15, 2010, UMUC hosted Melissa E. Hathaway, president of Hathaway Global Strategies, LLC, and one of the world's leading authorities on cybersecurity policy, as part of its Orkand Chair Distinguished Lecture Series. Drawing from 20 years of experience in the field, Hathaway shared her perspectives on cybersecurity in the 21st Century.
