SUBJECT: Public Relations and the Media

  1. Stateside
    The Office of Communications is the primary institutional contact with the media. UMUC staff and faculty are prohibited from representing the university UMUC in the media without approval from the Vice President, Communications. All media communications must be channeled through either the Associate Vice President for Communications or the Director of Media Public Relations in the Office of Communications.
  2. Overseas
    Responses to the media from UMUC's overseas offices should be coordinated with the Office of Communications.
