SUBJECT: Remission of Fees for Non-Credit Courses

Courses offered by the Center for Professional Development (CPD) are non-credit in nature. Fee remission programs at UMUC exclude such CPD courses because of the clear recognition that such courses are generally developmental in nature, are offered on a limited basis, have limited number of participant spaces available and have relatively high costs associated with offering them. Such costs (direct/indirect/overhead) must be fully recovered for all CPD course offerings.
