A: Yes. If you are admitted to the Alliance, you are encouraged to arrange to have your electronic transcripts sent from FCC to UMUC for the purpose of advising or transfer evaluation. If you have your associate’s degree, you may be eligible for the Maryland Community College Scholarship

Q: Whom do I see for academic advising?

A: Currently, FCC counselors will advise on degree requirements for your associate’s degree. Q: Will my financial aid from UMUC pay for courses at FCC?

A: You will need to pay your FCC tuition costs at FCC. However, the amount of financial aid disbursed to you through UMUC will be based on your enrollment at both schools, if you have completed a financial aid consortium agreement between UMUC and FCC. Contact a UMUC advisor to initiate the consortium agreement.

Q: If I am an Alliance student and want to take courses at UMUC and FCC in the same semester, what steps do I need to take to obtain a consortium agreement?

A: Contact a UMUC advisor and ask for a letter of permission to take courses at FCC. Your advisor will also initiate a financial aid consortium agreement between UMUC and FCC.
