The Institute for Global Management (IGM) offers training and customized seminars and conducts applied research on topics central to the management of enterprises with global agendas. These activities are intended to provide managers with perspective on the forces driving globalization, so they may anticipate how these forces are changing the industry environment and develop the strategic vision and individual and organizational competencies needed for success at all levels of the organization. IGM priorities include leadership development in transnational organizations; designing and managing information systems, global supply chains and sourcing networks for global organizations; building and managing alliance networks; the effective transfer and protection of technology; and assessing corporate responsibility for multicountry operations.
IGM is administered by UMUC’s Graduate School of Management & Technology. For more information, contact Clarence J. Mann, executive director at cmann@umuc.edu or Patricia Spencer, associate director at pspencer@umuc.edu or by calling 301-985-7200.
