FORMAT

The problem solving report has a length of 25-80 pages.
A style guide was used in preparing this report.
The APA style guide was used.
This is the FINAL report.
One hard-bound and two unbound copies were forwarded, with this checklist used as a transmittal cover sheet.
The hard bound copy was in a three-ring notebook with title sheet in front pocket and student name, date, and
       project title in the spine pocket.

 

CONTENT

This report contains the following included in the page count:

Title page.
Table of contents with major section and subsection titles and appendix titles and page numbers.
Abstract of 500 words that provides the reader with the essence of the project problem, recommended solution,
      and decision ( so that the reader need not reference the report for any further information).
References and bibliography.
Appendix with supporting materials arranged sequentially as referenced in the body of the report.

ORGANIZATION

The introduction includes:

Purpose statement for the project including the anticipated outcome if the recommended solution is implemented.
Concise statement of the problem including symptoms and cause(s).
Background of the problem and content in which it exists.
Similar problems and their results, context, and resolutions derived from the literature search.
Separate literature review section, if appropriate.

The methodology/approach includes

A detailed step-by-step discussion of the research and process used in examining the problem and arriving at the resultant product(s) or solution(s) to the problem.

The recommendation section of the report includes

Recommendations for adoption and implementation of the validated solution.
Supportive statements as to the value, benefits, and improvements anticipated.

LIMITATIONS

This report has certain limitations which are noted on a page after the abstract. The limitations restrict the application of the report as noted.
