Q: I’m unable to take the exam at the time I registered. Can I reschedule?

A: If the exam registration deadline has not passed (check here for dates), you may reschedule your exam by going into MyUMUC just as you did when you registered.

If the deadline has passed and you want to take it another date during exam week, your ability to reschedule depends on where you are registered to take your exam. If you are registered with an individual alternate-site proctor, please contact your proctor to reschedule directly. There is no need to contact our office if you take the exam during the scheduled exam week. If you are registered at one of the regional sites, you may test on any other date/time at the site at which you are registered. You may not test at a site at which you are not registered. However, you may walk in to the Adelphi/College Park site during any session, even if you have not registered.

To take the exams at any time other than the exam week, you have to request a makeup exam. Complete information about that option can be found here: http://www.umuc.edu/prog/ugp/ets/makeupex.html

Q: I need to take my exam earlier than exam week. Can I do that?

A: Contact your professor(s). Have them send confirmation of their approval for you to take the exam early to exams@umuc.edu. They should specify the date(s) on which you may take the exam. They should also include your name and your EMPLID. Note that you cannot take your exam at one of the regional sites outside of the scheduled session. You will have to find an approved alternate-site proctor. Guidelines for finding an alternate-site proctor may be found here.
