Certificate in Homeland Security Management

The certificate in Homeland Security Management is designed to provide the technical and management skills necessary for individuals to manage and prepare response systems to a wide range of threats and vulnerabilities at the federal, state, and local level. The certificate requires successful completion of 15 credits as follows.

Total Semester Hours: 15 

Students must take the following courses:

  • UCSP 611 - Library Skills for the Information Age (0) (Must complete within first 6 credits of study.)
  • HSMN 610 Concepts in Homeland Security (3) (Must be taken as one of the first two courses in program)
  • HSMN 620 Physical Security (3)
  • HSMN 630 Business Continuity: Disaster Recovery, Planning, and Response (3)
  • INFA 660 Security Policy, Ethics, and the Legal Environment (3)
  • HSMN 670 Seminar in Homeland Security (3)
