Program Description

Hone your key managerial competencies – critical thinking, systems thinking, team building, decision making, and ethical leadership – skills that are necessary to effectively manage today’s complex enterprises competing in global markets. The broad range of business knowledge that comprises the MBA program will equip you with the skills needed to advance to rapidly in any industry.

Program Overview

The MBA program consists of one 3-credit prerequisite course and seven 6-credit seminars, each of which is 10 weeks long with three weeks off between seminars. The 3-credit prerequisite course may be waived if the applicant has scored at least 600 on the GMAT or has already completed a graduate degree. Each student is assigned to a cohort of approximately 25 students that continue together through completion of their MBA program.

Program Rules

  1. AMBA 600 must be completed with a grade of B or better within the first semester.
  2. A student may transfer 3 credits from another university and complete a 3-credit AMBA 617 course instead of the 6-credit AMBA 607 course.
  3. All seminars must be taken in the order listed.

Initial Requirements

  • AMBA 600 MBA Fundamentals (3)
  • UCSP 611 Introduction to Graduate Library Research Skills (0), to be taken within the first 6 credits of study

Recommendations

Students who wish to improve their graduate writing skills may take COMM 600, Academic Writing for Graduate Students (3).
