Incident: Armed Robbery/Shooting
Occurred: 1:12 a.m.
Location: Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
On Tuesday, September 6, 2016, a Marriott Loss Prevention Officer was shot during a commercial armed robbery. Three safes were taken and later recovered near the facility, along with a handgun. One suspect is in custody.
University of Maryland Department of Public Safety's Criminal Investigations Unit is actively investigating this case.
