Be In-Demand with the Master of Arts in Teaching

Now's the time to enroll in the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program at UMUC, approved by the Maryland State Department of Education.

The program leads to eligibility for Maryland teaching certification in the secondary areas of:

  • Computer Science
  • Earth/Space Science
  • Mathematics
  • English

UMUC also offers a Praxis I® preparation course to help you prepare for the Praxis I® tests, which will bring you one step closer to enrolling in the MAT program. Once you pass and are admitted, UMUC will credit the $250 course fee to your tuition.
