Transfer Your Telecommunications Systems Engineer Course Credits Toward a Master's Degree

Earn a Master of Science in Information Technology with a Specialization in Telecommunications Management

If you have graduated from Telecommunications Systems Engineer Course 4C-24A, you may be eligible to transfer 15 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Telecommunications Management.

To participate in this partnership program, you must have completed TSEC. All coursework for the degree, including courses taken at TSEC, must be completed within a seven-year window. You must submit official transcripts from TSEC for review, along with the transfer credit evaluation request form to see if you meet the eligibility requirements.

After completing certain master's degrees, you can earn your Master of Business Administration by completing just three additional courses.

Core Required Courses

UCSP 615 Orientation to Graduate Studies at UMUC  (0) (Must complete within first 6 credits of study.)

After UMUC has received the official transcripts from TSEC and eligibility requirements have been met, you can receive credit for classes toward the Master of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Telecommunications Management.

You can receive credit for the follow classes:

  • ITEC 625 Computer Systems Architecture (3)
  • TLMN 602 Telecommunications Industry: Structure and Environment (3)
  • TLMN 623 Telecommunications Network (3)
  • TLMN 641 Network Management and Design (3)
  • INFA 620 Network and Internet Security (3)
