The Apptis Wounded Warriors Scholarship

The Apptis Wounded Warriors Scholarship Fund was created to provide scholarship support to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at UMUC who meet the following criteria:

  1. Demonstrated financial need
  2. Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 for undergraduate students or 3.0 for graduate students
  3. Enrolled for at least 6 credits during the academic term for which the UMUC Foundation awards a scholarship under the Fund
  4. Status as an active-duty service member of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, or an honorably discharged or retired veteran of the same, or the spouse or dependent of an active-duty service member, in the following order of preference:
    1. Veterans with an injury or illness related to their military service, pursuing a BS in cybersecurity, MS in cybersecurity, or MS in cybersecurity policy;
    2. Veterans with an injury or illness related to their military service, pursuing a BS in computer and information science, BS in computer information technology, BS in computer science, MS in information technology: information assurance specialization, MS in management: information systems and services, MS in technology management: information systems and services specialization;
    3. Spouses or dependents of active-duty service members with an injury or illness related to their military service, pursuing a BS in cybersecurity, MS in cybersecurity, or MS in cybersecurity policy;
    4. Any Veteran pursuing a BS in cybersecurity, MS in cybersecurity, or MS in cybersecurity policy;
    5. Spouses or dependents of any active-duty service member, pursuing a BS in cybersecurity, MS in cybersecurity, or MS in cybersecurity policy;
    6. Any Veteran pursuing a BS in computer and information science, BS in computer information technology, BS in computer science, MS in information technology: information assurance specialization, MS in management: information systems and services, MS in technology management: information systems and services specialization;
    7. Spouses or dependents of any active-duty service member, pursuing a BS in computer and information science, BS in computer information technology, BS in computer science, MS in information technology: information assurance specialization, MS in management: information systems and services, MS in technology management: information systems and services specialization;
    8. Any student pursuing a BS in cybersecurity, MS in cybersecurity, or MS in cybersecurity policy;
      Any student pursuing a BS in computer and information science, BS in computer information technology, BS in computer science, MS in information technology: information assurance specialization, MS in management: information systems and services, MS in technology management: information systems and services specialization.
