Take Refresher Courses for Your Benefit
UMUC offers a number of optional, noncredit courses to help prepare you for success in your required courses. Following are some suggested courses:
UCSP 620 Financial Accounting
Recommended as preparation for MGMT 640. A basic study of financial accounting, encompassing basic financial concepts and their use in analyzing financial statements.
UCSP 621 Economics
Recommended as preparation for MGMT 640. An overview of both the microeconomic issues of supply and demand for individual companies and products and macroeconomic issues concerning inflation, unemployment, and recession for the economy as a whole.
UCSP 630 Introduction to Research Methods
Recommended as preparation for MGMT 650. A presentation of basic research techniques and methodologies used in organizational research and evaluation studies to make business decisions. This course can be taken as preparation for other graduate-level statistics courses as well as MGMT 650 and HAIN 650.
UCSP 615 is required within the first 6 credits of graduate study for all new graduate students and all inactive students who reapply for admission.
