As an international student, you have unique needs and UMUC is here to help.

International Student Admissions (ISA) and Advising

This department assists international students with the I-20 process.

ISA issues I-20’s to

• Undergraduate students transferring from an alliance community college
• Undergraduate students transferring from a the universities at Shady Grove
• Graduate students coming to the U.S. for study purposes

If you are an international student, this unit is responsible for continually working with you to ensure that you remain in compliance with Homeland Security regulations.

International Student Affairs (ISA)

If you are a non-U.S. citizen, we will

• Help you apply or remain on an F-1 Student/Academic Visa.
• Assist F-1 students with maintaining legal status
• Ensure you are in compliance with Immigration and Department of Homeland Security regulations
• Provide you with authorization for travel and employment
