Job Fair Information

The Call to Serve Job Fair is a great forum for UMUC students and alumni interested in federal, state and city government employment. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters from federal and state agencies, non-profits and federal contractors to learn about agency openings and hiring procedures. Other benefits include

  • Informational workshops on the federal hiring process

About the Call to Serve Program

UMUC recently became the 770th school to join Call to Serve, a program sponsored by the Partnership for Public Service, an organization whose goals is to revitalize public service and improve government performance through securing the right talent for federal agencies. Call to Serve is a collaboration between the Partnership for Public Service and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) with the goal of

  • Inspiring and educating a new generation about federal service.
  • Improving agencies' ability to recruit and hire the talent government needs.

As a participating institution, UMUC's Office of Career Services has direct access to more than 75 federal agencies, a pipeline into workforce happenings in the federal government and access to resources for student’s interested in federal employment.
