Talk to a Career Counselor

Career counselors can assist students and alumni in the job search process in the following ways:

  • Career counselors can give strategies for job and internship searching, critique your resume and cover letter, help you prepare for an interview and more.
  • Career counselors can provide tips for writing resumes and cover letters. Counselors can critique resume and cover letter drafts. Counselors do not offer resume or cover letter writing services.
  • Career counselors can facilitate the relationship between a student or alumnus and employers through CareerQuest, job fairs and other activities. Counselors do not place students in jobs or internships.

A counselor will respond to in-person and telephone requests within one business day and e-mail requests within three business days. During periods of high volume, it may take up to a week or more for a counselor to respond to an e-mail request.
