Request Expectations

  • Our goal is to process your request within 3 business days. However, at times it can take over 1 week.

  • If you are submitting a request for Email correspondence, provide us with information in the Additional Information section so we can better serve you and your particular situation.

  • UMUC Career Counselors DO NOT place students in jobs or internships. UMUC Career Counselors assist students in the job search process though job/internship search strategies, resume critiques, cover letter critiques, and interviewing information. UMUC Career Services facilitates the relationship between the student and employer through CareerQuest, job fairs and other activities delivered by UMUC Career Services.

  • UMUC Career Counselors do not write student resumes or cover letters. We will provide you with resources for writing these documents and critique the resume and/or cover letter you have created.
