Use these guidelines when developing the education section of your chronological resume.
Always list your education in reverse chronological order
Do not list your high school diploma once you have attended college (federal resumes excepted)
If you have a bachelor's degree and an associate's degree, listing your associate's is optional (It is only recommended if the subject matter is critical to your qualifications)
Add relevant coursework if you are lacking experience in your desired career field
Education Example:
Bachelor of Science, Criminal Justice, 2007
University of Maryland University College, Adelphi, MD
Certificate Example:
Certificate, Security Management, 2007
University of Maryland University College, Adelphi, MD
TIPS
Use the bold function on your degree and/or certificate titles to make them stand out.
If you have more than one degree per school, list the school first with the degrees underneath.
TIP: Training certificates should follow the same format.

Certificate, subject matter, date
