The DSST Program (formerly known as the DANTES Subject Standardized Tests)

Through a series of 38 exams in several subject areas, the nationally recognized DSST program allows students to earn college credits for learning acquired outside the traditional classroom. For information on DSST exams and test locations, visit www.getcollegecredit.com, or call 609-720-6740 or 877-471-9860. DSST Public Speaking is now available by appointment only. Please send a request for an appointment to, ntc@umuc.edu

UMUC offers the DSST exams at the stateside locations listed below. Base access may be required for some locations; please contact the locations directly to find out the days and times that tests are administered.

Students who want their scores sent to UMUC Adelphi, UMUC-Asia or UMUC-Europe should list the score report number 9357 on their examination papers. UMUC Adelphi receives all DSST score reports; therefore, the same code should be used for all locations.

Please note: Active-duty military personnel may apply for and take DSST exams without charge at the Education Office of their respective military installations if taking an exam for the first time. Military funding is no longer available for retesting.
