Becky Walters – 2013 Student Advisory Council Representative, Stateside

Biography

Master Sergeant Becky M. Walters is the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), Flight Chief Campus Affiliations, Maxwell-Gunter AFB Alabama.  As Flight Chief she is responsible for the affiliation and administrative processes for 106 affiliated schools and more than 6,300 instructors worldwide.  She leads Compliance Requirements Visits to evaluate school compliance with affiliation requirements and advises the CCAF Commandant, Academic Dean, Advisory Panel and Policy Council on affiliated school issues. 

MSgt Walters entered the Air Force in June 1997.  After basic and technical training at Keesler AFB, MS she was assigned to the 2nd Communications Squadron, Barksdale AFB LA as Base Records Management Technician. From December 2002 to November 2004, she was assigned to the 831st Munitions Support Squadron Ghedi AF Italy.  In 2004 MSgt Walters was assigned to F. E. Warren AFB, WY where she served until November 2010. 

MSgt Walters has deployed twice.  Once in support of Joint Task Force-Bravo, Soto Cano Honduras and again in support of Operation INDURING FREEDOM with her most recent deployment to the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan/NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan, Kabul, Afghanistan where she served as NCOIC, Strategic Advisory Group.  MSgt Walters is married to Carl A. Walters Jr. and has two children (Anna - 13, and A.J. - 10).
