David Anderson – 2013 Student Advisory Council Representative, Stateside
Biography
Born in Alexandria, VA, and a Maryland resident ever since, I have grown up around a diverse and ever-changing political environment. Given so many unique opportunities, I have explored a variety of career paths that have allowed me to see our world through differing views and ideologies.
I currently live in Frederick, MD, within earshot of “Reveille” and “Taps” from our community base, USAG - Fort Detrick. After completing my first two years at Frederick Community College, with a concentration in International Business, I transferred to UMUC stateside to complete my degree in Global Business & Public Policy.
My work responsibilities have allowed me to develop a wide range of skills. I have been a thoroughbred hot-walker at Maryland racetracks, a painter and historic homes preservationist, a forensic accountant and a music producer. Each opportunity has allowed me to fulfill personal goals and participate in team challenges.
My proudest achievements have been:
Being elected president of FCC’s Global Business Simulation Developing and leading a Grammy nominated production team Hitting a triple at Pimlico, with the two “long-shots” in front of the favorite My goals, through education, are to participate in policy crafting and implementation, in hopes of facilitating positive changes in our global community.
