Keisha Payton – 2012-14 Student Advisory Council Representative, Stateside
Keisha Payton resides in Midlothian, Virginia, with her husband. She is employed as a pathology specialist in a clinical laboratory and performs tests on physiological samples to help physicians provide quality patient care. She is enrolled in the Project Management certificate program in The Graduate School at University of Maryland University College.
Payton earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from UMUC in 2012 and a Master of Business Administration from UMUC in 2013. As a student at UMUC, Payton became a member of the National Scholars Honor Society in 2009 and the National Society of Leadership and Success in 2012.
Payton is a member of the shared governance councils at UMUC, serving for three consecutive years on the Student Advisory Council, including two years as the vice chair, and on the University Advisory Council in 2012 and 2013.
