The Waiting List
How to Get on a Waiting List
You can check on class availability online by visiting https://my.umuc.edu. If a class is already full at the time of registration, you have the option of placing your name on a wait list for the class.
- If a space becomes available, the first student on the wait list will automatically be registered for it, and the charge will appear on the student's account. An e-mail notification of the enrollment from the wait list will be sent. If a space becomes available but the first student is ineligible to enroll in the class (for reasons such as the student has not met the prerequisites or is enrolled in a class that conflicts in time), the space will go to the next person on the wait list.
- If you no longer want a class you should remove your name from the wait list to prevent the possibility of an automatic enrollment.
- Faculty members and academic advisors are not authorized to add you to a full class.
How to Make the Waiting List Work for You
Class sections are added regularly, so access https://my.umuc.edu for the latest course offering information. UMUC reserves the right to reorder the waiting list for a given course, without notice, to correct inequities caused by system problems.
Other Important Information About the Waiting List
