
University Scholarship and Support Funds
Whether you choose to designate your gift to the area of greatest need (Unrestricted Fund), the Arts Program Support Fund, a scholarship program, or a specific academic program, your generosity can help UMUC gain extraordinary strength to reach its extraordinary goals. And you’ll be helping more UMUC students write their own success stories.
Adjunct Faculty Scholarship Fund. This fund supports adjunct faculty members who have taught at least 30 credits at UMUC. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition for one course per academic year.
Area of Greatest Need (Unrestricted Fund). UMUC builds its world-class reputation by moving quickly whenever and wherever opportunities arise. Contributions to this unrestricted fund power our entrepreneurial spirit.
Arts Program Support Fund. This fund helps improve and conserve the university’s collections of fine art.
Asian Division Endowed Scholarship Fund. This fund
provides scholarship support for UMUC students exclusively from UMUC
Asia.
Community College Transfer Scholarship.
This scholarship helps cushion the “sticker shock” of coming from less
expensive community colleges to UMUC so that students can make smooth
transitions into bachelor's degree programs.
Cybersecurity Scholarship Fund. This fund provides financial support to students currently enrolled in UMUC cybersecurity programs.
Dragon Boat Fund. This fund provides support for the Dragon Boat Program.
European Division Endowed Scholarship Fund. This fund provides scholarship support for UMUC students exclusively from UMUC Europe.
The Graduate School Endowed Scholarship Fund.
This fund focuses on students seeking graduate degrees and helps make
it possible for them to advance their knowledge in their chosen fields
or to advance to leadership positions.
Shirley Merica Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund was created in memory of Shirley Merica, a longtime employee of the Inn and Conference Center.
Military Textbook Scholarship Fund.
This fund supports UMUC’s military students around the world by
providing financial assistance to purchase textbooks. Priority is given
to students currently serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, or another theater
of operation.
Military Veteran Scholarship Fund. This
fund supports UMUC’s military veterans, their spouses, and their
dependents by providing scholarships to take classes at UMUC. Priority
is given to veterans who served in Afghanistan or Iraq.
James O’Donnell Information Technology Scholarship Fund. This
fund was created in memory of James O’Donnell, a longtime employee of
UMUC’s Information Technology office. The fund provides financial
support to UMUC students who have demonstrated financial need and are
majoring in information technology or related fields, including project
management.
Psychology Scholars Endowment Fund. This fund provides scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in psychology who have completed 9 credits or more in psychology, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and are not in their final semester.
UMUC Faculty and Staff Endowed Scholarship Fund. This fund provides general scholarship support for UMUC students.
Undergraduate Programs Endowed Scholarship. This fund provides scholarship support for students enrolled in The Undergraduate School at UMUC.
Working Family Scholarship Fund. This fund supports students who have family commitments and are currently enrolled at UMUC and working full-time.
