Setting up Entourage 2004 (or Entourage X) to Connect to the UMUC Exchange Server.
Summary There are two options to connect to your UMUC Exchange account for Mac users. 1. Outlook Web Access (OWA), from the address: http://webmail.umuc.edu 2. Use Entourage 2004 (recommended version). Please note that after migration, your previous UCMail Entourage (IMAP) account will be inaccessible. Below are five steps to setting up Entourage for UMUC Exchange. Note for EntourageX users: Public folder access is not supported in this version but is supported in Entourage 2004. Thus you can skip step 5 below. Please be sure to request an upgrade to Entourage 2004 as soon as you can.The five steps setup below will help you connect to your UMUC Exchange account using Entourage 2004.=========1. In Entourage 2004, click & select
Tools > Accounts > Exchange > New

be sure the Exchange tab is highlighted as shown below.
2. On Account Setup Assistant that appears, click on the Configure Account Manually button.3. The Edit Account window will appear. You will fill in the Account Settings information as follows (also pictured below): Account Name: Your Name Account ID: youruserid (exchange/office computer/AD/timesheet/portal id) Domain: US Exchange Server: https://webmail.umuc.edu/exchange Name: Your Name E-mail Address: youremail@umuc.edu4. Once done with the Account Settings, click on the Directory tab to enter the UMUC LDAP directory information: LDAP server: directory.umuc.edu Search base: o=umuc.edu5. The last step is to enter Public Folder information. While still in the Edit Account window, click on the Advanced tab and enter the following information: Public folders servers: ADEEX01.US.UMUC.EDU/public Make sure that the Synchronize all items to server button is checked. Click OK when done and you are ready to use Entourage 2004 with your UMUC Exchange account.
