or for someone who would just like to change the password while logged into OWA.

Password Change for First Time User, or for an Expired Password

If you only access your email via OWA, and your password has expired (or it is the first time you are logging on), use the credentials previously provided to you to log in at the web address webmail.umuc.edu.

Once you logged in, you will be immediately notified that your password has expired, and that you will need to change it at this time.

On the dialog box that appears your name should automatically be populated.
Enter your current password under Old password, and
Enter your new password once under New password and repeat it once more under "Confirm new password".
Click on OK when done (do not click Reset.  This button is for clearing the screen to allow you to start over).

Then another dialog box will appear, prompting you to re-authenticate (below).
Enter the current password (not the new one you are attempting to change to).
Click OK when done.
(note: this dialog box may not appear if you are accessing OWA on a machine joined to the US Domain while you are currently authenticated to your account.)

You should now see a dialog box, confirming a successful password change.
