Managing Interaction

How can interaction be used effectively in online learning?

To help you answer this question, we present video interviews with six experienced practitioners from across the disciplines. Each practitioner focuses on a particular aspect of online learning and suggests strategies for using interaction as a tool in online and Web-enhanced courses. The interviews are arranged to begin with the planning stage, proceed to online teaching in action, and end with an overview of the direction of online learning. Each interview is also available in audio and text versions and is accompanied by links to related resources.

While the video interviews focus on specific realities of teaching online, those wishing for a longitudinal view of course design from beginning to end will find an alternative means of navigating this module in the Systems Approach section.

Note: To view or hear the practitioners' interviews, you will need to download and install the free RealMedia Basic Player. Your computer must also have a sound card.
