Bring your completed benefits and retirement packet, and all specified information with you on your first day of orientation. Please complete all forms in black ink.

Non-Exempt Employees
Non-exempt employees must enroll in the Modified Employees Pension System. You must also have the appropriate enrollment forms (Application for Membership and Designation of Beneficiary Form) completed and ready to hand in on your first day. Because the State forms require a notary, do not sign until you are in the presence of a human resources representative

Exempt Employees
Exempt employees may enroll in either the Modified Employees Pension System or the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP). Your retirement selection must be made on your first day. You must also have the appropriate enrollment forms (as indicated below) completed and ready to hand in on your first day. Because the State forms require a notary, do not sign until you are in the presence of a human resources representative.

12-Month Faculty

All Employees
All regular employees may enroll in a Supplemental Retirement Annuity (SRA) plan. You may choose the Fidelity Investments, MSRP–Nationwide or TIAA CREF plans outlined below and enroll anytime by e-mailing benefits@umuc.edu.
