Faculty Art Invitational Exhibition 2012
Join the UMUC community for Drawings: Faculty Art Invitational 2012. This exhibition is part of an annual series that features the work of UMUC faculty members and teaching artists from the University System of Maryland along with special guest artists.
This year's theme—drawing—was introduced by the program’s curator, Brian Young. Essentially, drawings are unique works on paper that are not prints or photographs. Drawing can refer to works executed in ink, silverpoint, crayon, pastel, watercolor, wash, collage, etc. It can include studies, sketches, finished works, works mounted on canvas, and so on.
Invited artists include Patrick Craig, University of Maryland, College Park; Joan Bevelaqua, UMUC; Brooke Rogers, Salisbury University; James Plumb, Chesapeake College; Mark Karnes, Maryland Institute College of Art; Matt Klos, Anne Arundel Community College; and others.
