With the winter lingering,
I close my eyes to envision
signs of Spring, my favorite season,
Washington, DC in all its beauty.
Viewed from the waters of a famous river—
past the cherry blossoms, radiant in sunlight
which line like a necklace the Tidal Basin.
Spring is such a hopeful season.
