UMUC Art Gallery Collections & Exhibitions
University of Maryland University College (UMUC) has cultivated and grown two permanent art collections since 1978. The Maryland Artist Collection is one of the largest compilations of work by Maryland artists, while The Asian Collection comprises centuries of Asian art, including Chinese ceramics, traditional scrolls, and contemporary Japanese prints.
Where to View the Collections
You can view The Maryland Artist Collection and The Asian Collection in the UMUC Art Gallery at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center. Portions of the collections are also on display in the Administration Building and UMUC Academic Center at Largo.
How to Purchase Original Artwork
You now have the opportunity to purchase a limited number of original, collectible works of art created by emerging and established artists from Maryland; Virginia; and Washington, D.C. Proceeds will benefit the UMUC Arts Program, allowing it to maintain its collection and expand its activities to expose more people to the benefits of viewing and enjoying art.
