University of Maryland University College (UMUC) holds undergraduate classes on Joint Base Andrews NAF in Prince George's County. This site is on a military installation. Please call this location to receive information on base access. In some instances, a FERPA Release Form may be required.

Directions
Take the Beltway (I-495) to Exit 9 (Andrews A.F.B.), then follow signs to the main gate. From the main gate, turn left onto Perimeter Road and take the second right onto Brookley Ave. Go to the 3rd stop sign/dead end and turn left onto Arkansas Rd. The UMUC office is located in the Joseph F. Carroll Building #1413.
Advising
Advisors are available for walk-in sessions on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Scheduled advisors appointments are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Call 301-981-3123 or 301-981-7244 for an appointment at Joint Base Andrews NAF. Students must have base access to meet with an Advisor in person at Andrews. However, appointments are available to students without base access via phone and email.
Computer Labs
UMUC students have daytime access to a computer lab on Joint Base Andrews NAF. Call 301-981-3123 for information on the hours and availability of computing facilities.
Library Services
You can access the online catalog of the University System of Maryland (USM) and many full-text Web databases at the computer lab at Joint Base Andrews NAF. Call UMUC Library Services at 800-888-UMUC (8682), ext 7209 for more information or visit the UMUC Library.
Test Proctoring for Undergraduate Students
The UMUC office at Joint Base Andrews NAF may be able to provide an approved proctor for undergraduate online course examinations. Contact the office at 301-981-3123 or 301-981-7244 for more information. After you have selected a proctor, register for your proctored exam using the online form through MyUMUC. Any fees for approved individual proctors are your responsibility.
Placement tests for Math and English are offered Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please call 301-981-3123/7244 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Other Important Information

Security and Civilian Waiver Information. If you do not have a military ID, call 301-981-3123 or 301-981-7244 for information on base entry. Due to recent conditions of heightened security, civilian students taking UMUC classes on military bases may be required to complete a waiver in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) permitting UMUC to provide personal information (i.e., Social Security number, address, and telephone number) to the military administration. You may find the FERPA waiver form online.
National Test Center
Monday—Thursday: 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
UMUC manages the National Test Center offering computerized CLEP and DSST testing on a walk in basis to the military and civilian community with their own base access. Pearson VUE exams including Excelsior College Exams (ECE) are offered by appointment to the military and civilian community with their own base access. Schedule testing online at www.pearsonvue.com/military. DSST's Principles of Public Speaking exam is now available by appointment only. Please send a request for an appointment to ntc@umuc.edu.
