Classes and Services

University of Maryland University College offers undergraduate classes and student services at Fort Drum, New York. The site is located on a military installation. Please call this location to receive information on base access.

Directions and Parking

From Iraqi Freedom Gate (Route 11): Proceed through gate on Enduring Freedom Drive North going through the first traffic light and taking a slight right before second traffic light onto Mt. Belvedere Blvd. Proceed on Mt. Belvedere Blvd going for three traffic lights to Enduring Freedom Drive South. Take a left on Enduring Freedom South to next stop light (Conway Road). Turn right onto Conway Road. Proceed on Conway, going straight at next traffic light (Po Valley Road). After traffic light, you will take the second left hand turn into the McEwen Education Complex/Monti Gym Parking lot. Education Center is in the building on the right side of the parking lot.

From Mt. Belvedere Gate (Route 283/342): Proceed through gate on Mt. Belvedere Blvd to first traffic light (Po Valley Road). Turn right at light and proceed to next traffic light (Conway Road). Turn right onto Conway Road and take second left into the McEwen Education Complex/Monti Gym Parking lot. Education Center is in the building on the right side of the parking lot.

From Oneida Avenue Gate (Route 26): Proceed through gate on Oneida Avenue, staying straight through first traffic light (Tigris River Valley Road). Take the next possible right hand turn onto Iraqi Freedom Drive. Take the first left hand turn from Iraqi Freedom Drive onto Camp Hale Road, and then take the very next right hand turn onto Camp Pine. The Education Center is the building on your left and parking is accessible through the first or second left hand turn off of Camp Pine.

Library Services

A library service area is available at the Academic Center at Largo. Librarians are also available via e-mail, chat, phone, and instant message. Security and Access

If you do not have a military ID, call for information on base entry.

Due to recent conditions of heightened security, civilian students taking UMUC classes on military bases may be required to complete a waiver in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act permitting UMUC to provide personal information (such as Social Security Number, address, and telephone number) to the military administration. You may find the FERPA waiver form online.
