Office of Diversity Initiatives — Celebrate African American Heritage Month
Each February, UMUC recognizes African American Heritage Month. This year's theme is African Americans During the Civil War. African Americans played numerous pivotal roles during this critical moment in the history of the United States. Many African Americans served on the front lines and led efforts on the homefront.
Join the university community for two informative lectures about the contributions of African Americans to our country's history.
