Celebrate Women's History Month 2014

Women's History MonthJoin us for a spirited and enlightening presentation by distinguished speaker Carolyn Stegman, PhD, author of Women of Achievement in Maryland History and the novel A Gold-Mended Life.

Stegman will discuss how Maryland women made a difference in our communities—locally, nationally, and globally—and their struggles to create a more egalitarian society.

A founding member of the Maryland Women's Heritage Center, Stegman taught for four decades at Salisbury University, where she is now a consultant faculty member. She has lectured extensively throughout the United States and in Europe, Asia, and Africa. As an advocate for older adults, Stegman is currently a consultant for Maintaining Active Citizens, a member of the board of directors for the Parsons Foundation, and president of the Wicomico County Commission on Aging.
