Funding Available to Stateside Faculty for Conference Presentations

February 18, 2011

We are committed to the professional development of our adjunct and full-time teaching faculty who present at their discipline's annual conferences. Reimbursement funding is provided through the Center for Teaching and Learning's (CTL) Professional Development Grant Program.

Eligible faculty should have successfully taught at least three semesters for UMUC and be in good standing. Applicants also must be teaching at UMUC during the semester in which the proposed professional conference will occur, or are scheduled to teach in the following semester. Additional information and application forms are available at http://www.umuc.edu/distance/odell/ctla/pdg.shtml.

To further encourage our faculty's advancement, we now provide lists of upcoming professional conferences by conference date and by discipline topic on our Web site. Keep in mind that these listings are not the only conferences that faculty may attend and receive financial support from UMUC. If there are any questions about this program, please contact CTL at ctl@umuc.edu.
