Attend the Herman Maril Book Release and Lecture, December 4

UMUC President Susan C. Aldridge, PhD, and the University Arts Program invite you to a lecture, reception, and autograph signing to celebrate the release of His Own Path: The Spirit and Legacy of Herman Maril, a full-color, hardcover book created to honor the artist.

Maryland artist Herman Maril was active in the art scene for more than 50 years. This book, released more than 100 years after his birth, is a reflection of his creative journey.

Christine M. McCarthy, director of the Provincetown Art Association Museum, will lead a discussion titled “Herman Maril: An Artist’s Two Worlds.” Maril's son, David Maril, will sign copies of the book, which will be available for purchase for $49.
