Get Active! Join the UMUC Virtual Dragons or Tigers

March 3, 2013

The Office of Diversity Initiatives is pleased to bring you two great ways to enjoy the outdoors and get in shape this spring while getting to know fellow UMUC colleagues and other members of the UMUC community. No experience required!

The Virtual Dragons, UMUC’s dragon boat racing team, is looking for new members who want to get some exercise, meet new friends, and enjoy great competition in the 12th Annual Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, 2013. Practice is scheduled to start in April. For more information, visit the Virtual Dragons page.

The Tigers, UMUC’s co-ed slow-pitch softball team, offers employees, students, and alumni, another great opportunity to get some exercise and meet new people. The Tigers season begins in May. For more information, visit the UMUC Tigers page.

Please note: Participation in these activities is voluntary and at your own risk. It is not part of your work duties at UMUC. Volunteers for the Virtual Dragons and UMUC Tigers will be required to sign a waiver and release of liability form.
